Aug. 10 Sir: I have sent your website address to everyone on my contact list with hopes they will use it. Personally, I have bought clothing from a manufa-cturer listed here. I have looked for other clothing and have found that the prices are well above what the large stores offer.    Perhaps a request to the manufacturers listed here to provide a discount to people whouse this site for their products would be in order. For me, it is buyig clothing at half the price listed and eating from the large stores or buying from here and not be able toafford both.    Thanks, J

April 23, 2011 Ouch! Not everyone loves us:From Anne: "your sight is so ugly!!!  Come on guys, your American, where  is your pride in what you do?  Hire a High school kid to do some thing wonderful that is easy to find what we need.  From Bob, March 20.."THIS IS A TERRIBLE WEBSITE! I went to look up cushions and it doesn't come up. You really need to redesign the whole thing."  And from Carol on April 5: "god (sic) bless you for developing this website!  my (sic) family and i (sic)  have been trying so hard to support the wonderful country we live in by purchasing items made in the usa (sic) and your website makes it that much easier. thank (sic) you for this, sincerely, carol (sic)
New England has lost many industries, textile being one of them.
Try to buy American
Americans-WHERE ARE YOU?  You aren't buying enough American. You aren't telling enough people about this website. Who is supposed to do it? Commercial interests? Media? Don't be naive. There's no money in it. It's up to you. Yes. You. Get people to use this website. Buy from the American companies we have listed. I'm doing my share, my time, my money. Where the &z%# are you?

READ THIS FROM ONE OF OUR VISITORS: I watched a show on t.v. tonight about the textile business.
It stated that in the 1960s we made 95 percent of our
clothing, today we make 5% and both Dem.& Rep. are
responsible for the demise of the Textile business in
      America. John

COLD FACTS:Right now there are about 200 of you looking at this website. If you all bought one American product this week, wow. And don't tell me ABOUT light bulbs. I want to hear tee shirts, jeans, hammers, furniture. And if you each got three people to use this website, today, well, that would mean a lot of traffic, 800, for the companies we have listed. DO SOMETHING IMPORTANT. Tell people.

DID YOU KNOW? Here are some interesting summaries taken from the reports of the Bureau of Labor Statistics. The industries examined are the apparel industry and the footwear industry. Two of the categories comprise this first report:
Sewing Machine Operators and Shoe and Leather Workers and Repairers.
In the year 2000, there were 362,010 sewing machine operators employed nationwide. Their mean annual wage was $17,450. In the year 2007, there were 2,150 sewing machine operators nationwide. Their mean annual wage was $22,280. About three hundred sixty thousand jobs lost.
The footwear industry is equally decimated.

In the year 2000, there were 12,210 shoe and leather workers and repairers with a mean salary of $18,860. In 2007. there were 2,120 with a mean salary of $22,510.

From Brian Hodges, Sept. 7, 2010...."If people would realise that the US Dollar is the most powewrfull weapon in the world, and if they spent their money ONLY in the US, then those factories that fled would come crawling back on their knees....see the rest of Brian's comments on the letters page.

It's important to buy American.  How dumb can we be? They can work for $!.50 per day and still feed themselves. We can't.  Read current reports from the Bureau of Labor Statistics. on Business Data.

Stats for the top ten vehicles made in the USA: Nine come from Ford, and all are 90 % made in the USA.

"Hello from Kansas. I've added your site to my Favorites.  Thanks for promoting American made.  We bought Amish-made furniture recently, rather than foreign made junk.   Thanks again. .... "

" Hi. Thanks for your site--a great idea and  service to the country. Import/export has been a fact of life for thousands of years.  No thinking person could oppose it (in my opinion).  But export of jobs and manufacturing is a different matter...."

From a visitor: "What a wonderful site you have !!!!!  Bravo.  God Bless America. So glad others think just like we do. Best Regards,"

One last thing: We have never asked for laws restricting trade. And from day one, September 2007, we have had a listing for products from the rest of the world. Current listings include Canada, Malaysia, China, France, etc.

Give the label you can be proud of "Made in the USA." It means first class quality.  It's the label you don't peel off. It means no junk.

And don't forget if you are in the automotive industry, aerospace, agricultural, metal fabricators, look at our heavy equipment, farming or Industrial page for tool and die makers, injections molds for plastics and metals.

Is there a level playing field out there? Read this from an American manufacturer, kind enough to share his ideas: "We are the largest pile driving equipment manufacturer in the world. We make our equipment in Kent, Washington. We export to China........because they need our equipment to build bridges and roads. China charges a 35% duty so our sales are expensive for Chinese contractors wishing to buy our equipment but our patented products are worth it. We also build in Shanghai but only for sales in China. The problem is not with our citizens it is with our own government. We need to change the import duty laws. Why does china get to import products to the USA for .0001 percent duty when it costs the Chinese 35% to buy our products. Not fair. Chinese want to buy but our government wants to prop up sales for China. We could solve this with a stroke of a pen. Sincerely, John L. White President, American Piledriving Equipment Kent, Washington www.apevibro.com Thanks for the website! "

We try to include those companies who meet these standards: From the FTC ".....For a product to be called Made in USA, or claimed to be of domestic origin without qualifications or limits on the claim, the product must be "all or virtually all" made in the U.S. The term "United States," as referred to in the Enforcement Policy Statement, includes the 50 states, the District of Columbia, and the U.S. territories and possessions..."
